Dino Dig
This is your chance to make like a real-life paleontologist.
The Museum of Western Colorado, in Fruita just outside
Grand Junction, offers would be dino-hunters the chance
to join an authentic dig in the fossil-rich badlands of the
Morrison Formation. A variety of expeditions are open to
individuals and families with children over the age of five.
Under the expert tutelage of museum staff, participants
explore sites in Colorado and Utah. Experiences range from
one to five days in duration. Prices start at $125 per person.

Budget minded dino-fans will enjoy watching the Dinosaur
Journey Museum located at 550 Jurassic Court Fruita,
Colorado. It features realistic robotic representations of the
big beasts and a working laboratory. Admission is $7 for
adults, $6 for seniors, $3 for children between the ages
of 3 and 12. Family groups are charged $20.
